This has been widely known in the community to be more than just rumours for the better part of the last year, or longer, but more details would absolutely be nice to have. I imagine it will be an original story based in the universe, not a 1:1 remake of the game itself.
The anime was phenomenal, I'm looking forward to the follow-up series, but as is often typical with movie adaptations, I'll expect it to suck and just be happy if it doesn't.

I haven't seen it due to not having Paramount+, but didn't they change the covenant so they aren't genocidal religious fanatics? They're warring with humanity but not trying to wipe them out...

It is Paramount, were they not the ones who had the Halo show cancelled after 2 seasons?
