it's probably because literally nothing on this list has even remotely comparable starpower or is as universally lauded as citizen kane. fucking nobody cares about like, frost/nixon or the killing...

I actually meant my comment the way you read it, but after reading @asteroid's reply I'm going to go with their interpretation; Citizen Kane doesn't have enough journalism to qualify for the list....

And for the record, I like Frost/Nixon (but I agree that in the grand scheme of things it's nothing compared to Citizen Kane). I think there are just too few movies about journalism for much more than a top 5 or top 10.
I hate when they don't provide IMDB links. Almost Famous (2000) The Parallax View (1974) Frost/Nixon (2008) Kill the Messenger (2014) Zodiac (2007) Under Fire (1983) Salvador (1986) His Girl...
Hoo boy I can argue about the order of the movies on that list.
Yeah, something about Citizen Kane being #10 bugs me.
Exactly. Not enough journalism to qualify, certainly not at that level. Might as well include Superman, since Clark Kent works for a newspaper.

It's a weird list.

Is there a reason this particular "top X" list made the cut?
