I don't have much faith but still.. just don't change plans again due to the lukewarm response to WW84.

I think that’s a good direction. Take a hint from the comics and present multiple alternative versions of the same characters. Give creators more freedom to do crazy and wacky things. I want Frank Miller’s Batman, Batman vs Jack the Ripper, Lobo, communist Superman, Justice League Dark, and a few Vertigo IPs for good measure. The movie equivalents of graphic novels unconcerned with canon. A space for experimentation. There’s absolutely no need to follow the footsteps of the MCU.

Amen. There are so many amazing DC Elseworlds and Vertigo (which we have even talked about before) titles that I would love to see properly adapted. E.g. 100% agreed that Superman: Red Son, and Gotham By Gaslight would be especially cool to see done live-action, since both have only had mediocre animated adaptations so far (see: RS, B:GbG). And another of my favorites Elseworlds titles which I don't think you mentioned, is Kingdom Come, which would probably also make for an excellent mini-series adaptation, IMO.

Also agreed about Lobo too. With the success of Deadpool and Guardians of the Galaxy, I would think that audiences are basically already primed for a Lobo adaptation, since he's pretty much a combination of those two things; an irreverent, foul mouthed, ultra-violent, fourth-wall breaking, mercenary anti-hero, with a story focused on the wider DC comic universe outside our solar system.

p.s. If you haven't seen Brightburn yet, you should check it out. It's wasn't particularly amazing or anything, but it's basically "What if: Superman was bullied as a child and went psycho", and it was still pretty fun to watch. :P

Oh, man, am I getting too repetitive? Sometimes I feel like I have three of four patterns that I repeat all the time without noticing. At the same, I like to see the refinement of my thoughts, the arguments tend to become more complete and maybe more persuasive? IDK.

I know about Brightburn, it sounds really cool, but I think it’s horror, and I avoid those because they give me night terrors.

LOL, I suspect we are both a bit repetitive... especially when it comes to comics, since we both seem to be pretty passionate about them. :) And yeah, if horror gives you night terrors, you should...

And yeah, if horror gives you night terrors, you should probably stay away from Brightburn. It's not really that scary IMO, but it does have some pretty intense scenes of brutality and gore.
