The Land of the Giants podcast has a season on Netflix and gets into their budget and its woes. Netflix actually way overspends what it takes in and is in quite a lot of debt. I don't recall the podcast drawing the comparison directly, but it seems like a lot of tech companies (though I understand Netflix probably wouldn't call themselves a "tech" company) where they go into a lot of debt to keep prices low and quality of service high and then?? They have to pay up sometime and either prices will skyrocket or they simply disappear. It'll be interesting to see how long Netflix can keep it up.
