I'm getting massive shades of Agalloch off this track, particularly in some of the melodies and chord voicings. The album suffers a little bit for some overzealous repetition but I quite enjoyed it overall, thought it was a stronger release than their debut for sure. Really excited to see what they come up with their third outing, often that's the magic release for bands realising a unique voice.
If you're using Firefox, I recommend getting the Volume Control for Bandcamp Player extension to fix this very thing. (I will mention, though, that there's a reason Bandcamp doesn't have a volume...
(I will mention, though, that there's a reason Bandcamp doesn't have a volume slider, and it's because it's not meant to be the primary way you hear the music. The player is just for sampling. The site designers intend for you to actually download the music.)

(Appreciate your comment but it doesn't really matter how long they assume or want me to listen to the tracks. Even if it's just a preview, it's still too loud. Don't really understand the logic behind that reasoning. In my book it's simply bad design.)

Yeah! Agalloch is an old fav of mine so it's great to hear something in a similar space. Nechochwen have a similar vibe too
YESSSS, Blackbraid rules. I loved the first album and the two recent singles. Really excited to listen to this one. Thanks for sharing!
I just ran across this guy a few weeks ago. Happy I did. Glad to see some recognition circling too.
Blackbraid is great. First album was wonderful and this release is a step up from that one, even.
Sounds good on a side note tho.. God do I hate audio players that don't allow to adjust the volume.

I use Soundfixer, since it works with most sites, and even allows you to set the gain higher than what would normally be the max.
