I continue to obsessively listen to Alice Coltrane's Kirtan: Turiya Songs.
The songs are indescribably beautiful. And Alice's story and the events that resulted in this album are highly compelling.
It's become my favorite album to listen to while programming.
I've been non-stop listening to everything Rory Gallagher. I'd heard of him before, but never actually listened to him.
He's instantly become one of my favorite artists. One thing I usually do when listening to someone new is read a general biography. It appears Rory was an influence for many other great artists. Here's some great quotes I came across.
Jimi Hendrix was asked, “How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world?” He is believed to have answered, “I don’t know, go ask Rory Gallagher.”
Eric Clapton credited Rory with "getting me back into the blues".
"One of the top ten guitar players of all time but more importantly one of the top ten good guys." - Bono
"Rory was a really big Influence on me. When I was younger, I bought all of his stuff and listened to it devotedly. As far as I'm concerned he's one of the all time great guitar players..." - Slash
I've been listening to Fretwork - Armada (Music From The Courts Of England And Spain).
It's full of songs like "Come to me, Grief forever" and "Pour down you pow'rs divine no grief is like to mine". It's a bit full on for me, so I'm dipping in and out. But I'm enjoying it so far.
Just got into The Charlatans because I heard the hit single The Only One I Know

This was recommended to me a couple of weeks ago:
Allie X - Off With Her Tits
Most of her other songs have a slightly different energy but all of her albums are great and I've had them on repeat, been listening to her almost non-stop and looking forward to the new album!
Other amazing songs of hers if anyone wants to know where to start:
June Gloom
Sarah Come Home
Casanova
Old Habits Die Hard
Prime
