I literally cannot remember a time before I knew who “Weird” Al was. Some of his songs are embedded in my brain in a way that few other media is. One of those foundational texts for your sense of humor.
My first concert was seeing Weird Al in 2000. It was an incredible experience and really ruined concerts for me for a while (“What do you mean they don’t all change costumes for every song?!”)
It’s awesome that he’s still relevant and just as popular as ever. The fact that he’s going on his biggest tour yet is cool as hell.
Just saw him last weekend. He’s still great and they still change costume. I think the only “downsides” were that dare to be stupid seemed like the band wasn’t involved and no Albuquerque. Still highly recommend seeing him
I saw him a few years ago for the tour that dispensed with the costumes and focused on his originals. It was still great, but I'm a little disappointed I didn't know about the current tour in time for it to be an option. One of the stops is reasonably close for an overnight trip by car, but sold out.
Sorry for this noise, but at first I thought this said "Weird AI Interview", because everything is about "Artificial Intelligence" recently.
If Weird Al doesn't have a video yet about Weird AI, that's a missed opportunity.
He did comment on it a couple years ago!

Relevant RLM video. Not the whole thing, just Mike's intro. I made the same mistake when reading the title of this thread
