Cosmo has slowly been releasing all the tracks from his debut album The Much Much How How and I as instrumentals on YouTube over the last few weeks, and this is the one I was most looking forward to. I am absolutely obsessed with the album and the original version of Wriggle with lyric especially, so I knew it would be great as an instrumental too.
It almost feels like a song that should be in a Studio Ghibli or similarly fantastical film. Something about the fluttery woodwinds and deeper Oboe notes hits me just right and takes me to a magical place. I can't help but picture a scene in my head with the Kodama (woodland spirits) when I hear it.
My pleasure :) He's doing a (very limited) tour of North America later this year. If one of the shows is convenient for you, I definitely recommend you go see him live!

this is quite amazing to say the least! Funny how you mention Studio Ghibli. It was my first thought just a minute into the song. Thanks for sharing! @bilbodwyer mvp.

Jul 19. The Drake Hotel in Toronto. Only $15 for tickets, too... sweet! Thanks for the heads up.
No problem! Well worth your time, he does a load of improvised songs each set.
