This week's album and EP releases
Here's a list of a things that came out in this past week, up through Friday. Of course, there's no way to be completely comprehensive with this and I avoided including things where information was too lacking, so feel free to mention anything that isn't on here that you think is worth mentioning. Beyond that, if you have any thoughts of any of these albums, it would be great to hear them :)

That's a really nice description. I feel with the National, with each album they've been getting more mature but less interesting (with TWFM sitting right at the crossroads, imo). Maturity isn't easy to define, but this album feels very sure with itself, it's effortless and inviting. You can tell the National have been doing this for decades. There weren't any stand out moment, or shocking turns, but that's cool, it captures a tone, and holds you there for an hour.
I agree about the female vocals, it's a wonderful addition I wouldn't have thought of The National taking. Male-female vocals aren't easy to do, and they don't always pull it off (Quiet Light, I think?) but when it works it's The National through and through.
Don't miss out on Dâm-Funk. He's one of the few musicians keeping the real artistry of synth funk alive beyond just a gimmick. His work a few years back with Steve Arrington was legendary, and he was back in the spotlight working with Christine and the Queens on her last album.
STFU II probably isn't going to 'wow' any of you but it's a really cohesive, confident record, almost falling into a kind of 'ambient funk' sound. Great for working to while getting some groove on.
