I've watched a few more episodes of this series and I don't know if the rest of the series just isn't as great as this or if I just haven't been able to get into the headspace required to enjoy their kind of humor.
I've seen them live a number of times and they're great. I haven't been able to get in to the Netflix special in the same way. I think it's because their humour is pushing the joke to the point where it's almost not funny but stopping at the precipice and it's hard to judge that when you can't see your audience.
I watched all of it and I'm not really sure whether or not I liked it. I guess I at least liked it enough to watch it all, but boy I'd have a hard time recommending it without a bunch of caveats that it is For Sure Not For Everyone.
I'd say it's often funnier in premise than it is in execution, but sometimes the weird premise is enough to carry it. They do an Ellen Degeneres bit I liked a lot, and something about Cowdoy got me every time.
Indeed, that was one commonly noted positive of drinking cough medicine at my school.
