    Good! This is a law that should be implemented in the US and other countries as well. The concept of this being "normal" behavior on dating sites is awful. (And obviously this behavior towards minors is much much worse.)

      It takes time to prosecute a case, and the prosecutor probably wanted the first prosecution under the new law to be as unambiguous as possible.

      Catching comes before hanging. Note that this guy was already on the sex offender list and used his father's phone for it. The circumstances made it very easy to deal with him. By comparison, with some flasher out in the wild you've got to get the cop's attention, there has to be a subpoena for the records to prove it happened, etc. It's only been 6 weeks since 1/29. Very little in the way of justice gets executed in only 6 weeks.
