An update on the war following a recent trip. The situation has improved compared with Fall 2024. Russian offensive momentum slowed significantly over the winter, though it is premature to claim that the front has stabilized, especially following AFU withdrawal in Kursk. /1

edit: read through your link. Weird to say but to me, it's all positive news and just confirms yet again that news here are reactionary. A lot of people on r/denmark are living in fear which is clearly not warranted. At worst we will see more hybrid warfare stuff from Russia but there really is not, in my opinion, any danger whatsoever. Russia is weak and in no position to attack anyone else in any foreseeable future. Wouldn't mind counterarguments though, if anyone has any - but people are way too scared (maybe it's just an online thing and impression though. Don't hear anyone express similar things in real life)

It's good news if you consider "not about to collapse, hopefully" to be good news. It seems like it's still a stalemate at best?

A stalemate is not good news for the meat cutting in the grinder however it does mean that the grinder is not actively advancing towards you.

    APN:

Ukraine leaves Kursk — What did they achieve?

Ukraine is leaving the Kursk region amid intense Russian pressure. In this video I discuss what they got out of the incursion, and if it was worth the effort. The most ambitious goal was to convince Biden to give up the fear of Russian escalation and ramp up the deliveries of weapons to Ukraine, and that did not work out. But other goals were achieved.
