DHS urges DACA recipients to self-deport

"Illegal aliens who claim to be recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are not automatically protected from deportations," DHS assistant press secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to NPR. "DACA does not confer any form of legal status in this country."

McLaughlin added that any DACA recipient may be subject to arrest and deportation for a number of reasons, including if they've committed a crime. McLaughlin then urged recipients to self-deport.

This also cites that the Education Department is targeting five universities for giving scholarships to DACA recipients. From Ed.gov

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) has opened national origin discrimination investigations into the University of Louisville, the University of Nebraska Omaha, the University of Miami, the University of Michigan, and Western Michigan University. The investigations will determine whether these universities are granting scholarships only for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or “undocumented” students, in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964’s (Title VI) prohibition against national origin discrimination.

Just silently screaming that the rose garden at the White House has been paved over. And also that the East Wing might get demolished in favor of a ballroom that's twice as big as the main part of the White House.

Really hope that Congress puts their foot down and stops the ballroom thing at least. I don't have high hopes or expectations, but... Yeah.

Trump EPA moves to repeal landmark ‘endangerment finding’ that allows climate regulation

President Donald Trump’s administration on Tuesday proposed revoking a scientific finding that has long been the central basis for U.S. action to regulate greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change.

The proposed Environmental Protection Agency rule would rescind a 2009 declaration that determined that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare. The “endangerment finding” is the legal underpinning of a host of climate regulations under the Clean Air Act for motor vehicles, power plants and other pollution sources that are heating the planet.

Repealing the finding “will be the largest deregulatory action in the history of America,” EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said Tuesday.

Well, that means this is all just for show, doesn't it? No way the Supreme Court allows the release of evidence that their king sexually abused underage girls.

Schumer said that if the agencies chose to ignore their request, Democrats will take their case to the courts.
