Even farmers, facing real economic consequences die to trump’s actions, and that they acknowledge are a result of trump’s actions, still say they would vote for him again.
As i see it, trump is probably going to retain power unless both 1) there are more folks who didn’t vote last time and will vote dem this time than will vote gop this time and 2) there are a lot of wealthy, conservative suburban folks who will flip their vote this time.
That doesn’t mean that this thing, along with the million other dastardly deeds of his, isn’t truly awful.

Support is eroding among farmers. There is wedge that could be widened by truth. There doesn't even need to be any promises (you know those things that politicians say that mean shit), all they need to do is educate.
Support among suburban whites is also dwindling. Big swings in suburban neighborhoods gave Democrats the house in 2018 and flipped Virginia just a few weeks ago.

It's just baffling what the GOP has become and what they are willing to defend if it means staying in power. It's the kind of stuff you expect from a Banana Republic, not from the country that produced the Federalist Papers and basically created what the modern version of a democracy looks like (warts and all, looking at you, Electoral College).
Nobody knows who will win the next election. Just like nobody predicted the last one. We don't even know who the parties will end up nominating yet. (I would guess Trump but maybe the Senate will...

Trump wants to be like his buddies putin and kim-jong. He can see that they answer to no one and have complete control of the country, that’s exactly what trump is trying to turn the US presidency into. He has said multiple times on various mediums that he believes presidents can do whatever they want and he is fighting so that future presidents can not be held accountable AKA cannot be questioned or stopped by an equal power in government.
