I didn't see anything in the article about what makes this different than regular Space Camp in Huntsville. I'm getting rather old, but Space Camp was coed when I attended several decades ago. Has that changed?
I recall that the Space and Rocket center has had financial difficulties lately, so is this just marketing or is there something new / different?
It sounds like this is just an all girls camp, which will let some folks participate who might not in a co-ed space and encourage girls to take lead where sometimes they get pushed back to support...
It sounds like this is just an all girls camp, which will let some folks participate who might not in a co-ed space and encourage girls to take lead where sometimes they get pushed back to support roles. (And may encourage black girls in particular to participate). It looks like there's lots of other space camp options.
She was pretty active with NASA in a role model sort of way, and her foundation seems to be financially sponsoring it. It makes sense to me.
