Do we have enough NFL fans to warrant weekly discussions?

I'd love to see sports.american_football be a bit more active. Today was the first Sunday of the season and it's crickets in here.

Would there be any interest in weekly threads during the season? Maybe something posted on Thursdays containing a list of the week's upcoming games and then people can just discuss them as the games happen? Nothing super formal, just a thread that might encourage some discussion throughout the week. If it takes off, great. If not, no biggie.

Any thoughts/ideas?

I'd pop in to comment on a weekly thread. This week 1 has been incredible, and my Vikes haven't even played yet. SNF alone saw over 80 total points, a comeback victory, a vintage Derrick Henry...

I’d comment a bit! I’m usually more of a post-game comment than a pre-game comment though, I don’t follow football closely enough to have opinions on matchups before they happen, and I really only watch a few teams. (Currently, I’m trying to catch Steelers, Cowboys, and Broncos games).

The ending of the Bills Ravens game tonight was apparently wild, I’m going to have to watch the highlights from it.

It was wild. I flipped it on in the late third quarter after we finished a movie. It was really quite enjoyable. Other than the usual detractions of a metric ton of ads!

Do it! We need a cloud loud for NFL posts. I was thinking about posting something tomorrow asking for everyone's week one overreactions, but I like the idea of a weekly thread.

So I'm thinking it makes more sense to do a Tuesday post about the previous week, rather than Thursday ahead of it. So keep an eye out for the post tomorrow AM!

Count me as interested. However, I'll likely comment as much as I do on most things, which is to say, not a lot.

I'm down for it. I can use it as some of my venting from the disparity of my team's skill and capabilities to the actual good teams in the league.

I'll drop in a comment or two between my favorite team and my group of old friends on Fantasy.

Shout out to recruiting a couple people to my NHL fantasy team as a follow on to my bud's NFL fantasy.

I'd be interested as well. But like everything on Tildes, I'd probably lurk more than I contribute.

Sorry to comment so late on this; I’m a casual NFL enjoyer and would very much enjoy conversation around the week! I may not contribute much as I too often lurk around here. I’d love to hear...
