That's definitely not just a you thing. I find them mildly interesting musically but the vocals are just nope.

I would have to politely disagree - none of these books are old at all.

It didn't click with me as hard as something like The Wind-up Bird Chronicles, but it's still good. An interesting writer for sure.

This is hilarious. Did you happen to save the response? I tried it on Gemini and it (gently) told me I'm a crackpot lol.

Sorry for necroposting. This is the best and most compelling and simplest explanation I've read. I will start using passkeys. Thank you for the detailed but not sales-y write-up.

It'll be good (unless they screw it up).

    • Goated story, absolutely SSSS++ tier. I honestly have never played a game with such serious, adult, large, and complex themes
    • Goated soundtrack
    • Goated combat system, which hopefully they will tone down some of the characters like Orlandu, and monks honestly were just overtuned. Still, great great stuff
    • Incredible graphics

I'm one of those players who repeated the first battle until the entire party was level 99 before moving to the second, though (which actually made the game harder). So ymmv
