As comforting as it is to see, the Vikings did not, in fact, beat the Falcons. So the table has at least one error.
I would just like to echo my sentiment from the last thread
GO PACK GO!!
As a Commanders fan it hurts, but it was a good game all the same!
I felt like there were a lot of “close” games this week, although maybe it really was just the games I watched.
I watched the Steelers Seahawks, which wasn’t a close final score but felt close until the boneheaded kickoff play by the Steelers.
The end of the Cowboys Giants game was wild, going from the high-scoring 4th quarter to the OT that almost resulted in a tie.
The Broncos Colts game was a heartbreaker for the broncos, but an enjoyable game to watch.
And idk what it is about Baker Mayfield and last-minute game winning drives, but I was worried for the Texans after Chubb scored with the amount of time he left on the clock, and I was right to be worried.
I think last year gave me a false sense of security because the Broncos always find a way to lose to the Colts in the most embarrassing fashion. The Colts are 13-6 against the Broncos since 2002 and most of those wins are from Peyton Manning putting on a clinic or Denver making terrible coaching decisions and failing to execute on routine plays. This game gave me flashbacks to 2002 and 2022.
Last week I spent way too much time breaking down Will Lutz's inability to kick from beyond 50, but with the caveat that he is automatic from inside 45. Woops.
Nix got off to a slow start last year and he hardly played in the preseason so I'm not ready to pull the alarm yet, but I think it's safe to say the preseason expectations were way too high.
Watching the cowboys game with cowboys fans who hate Jerry Jones was hilarious.
