Im nowhere near 30 yet but I've got my birthday coming up in couple days and the wife and I will be going to Osaka and Kyoto for a week.
Nowhere near thirty and you have a wife? Either we have different concepts of nowhere near, or you got married very young!

My 30th was four and a half and a half years ago and then my wife and I made a lovely dinner and fell asleep together on the couch that night. Shame that can't happen again.
I went with my girlfriend (now wife) to a weekend getaway to a local national park to avoid all the people making a fuss out of it. While I was gone my parents decorated my lawn... guess I couldn't get away from it all :p

I haven't done anything for my 30th because I'm only just about to turn 26, but enjoy the good food, good company, and the day off! :)
