My parents and older sister are coming to visit so my partner and I deep cleaned the entirety of the house. The robot mop vacuum thing we have really helps out. I'm dreading the entire visit though. Parents are not horrible but its always... a chore to be around them so this weekend I plan on getting everyone boozed up so the visit goes quick.

We have painted our living room. Just finished today and now is time to clean up... I will get rid of many things I didn't use and they just occupied space, that's a nice bonus!

Put a variable speed clutch/transmission on a small motorbike. Cause the old chain drive was garbage. Started replacing a rear half shaft axle on a Corvette.

Procrastinated on studying, procrastinated on more studying, got sinusitis flaring up again, always fun to be coughing wildly, went out at night on Wednesday, got drunk with mates and it was a really great night! met a gal, got her insta, talked to her for a good while yesterday. for context, I'm an 18 year old idiot fresh into uni, I've never really dabbled into the whole getting instas, talking to girls thing due to the aforementioned being an idiot thing.

anyways, doesn't matter, because I watched the formula 1 Qatar GP qualifying and it was... interesting to say the least... (messy as hell)... as for what I'll do now and over the weekend, I should probably get off my phone and study some algebra, uni's a pain in the ass and I gotta keep up, so that's that

I've been working on school, went back to get my Bachelor's because not having that piece of paper listed on my resume seems to be automatically kicking me out of a ton of potential job opportunities. I just finished my "summer" classes that extended practically mid-way through my fall courses. So I've been juggling 5 classes at the same time while also working full time. I suppose going down to 3 classes (soon to be 4) is a pretty big relief. Also registered for my "spring" courses, which include one accelerated course over winter that I'm slightly worried about but hoping will go ok since I have no other classes at that time.

I've also gotten into some better cleaning routines for the house, and am starting to exercise somewhat regularly.

What I didn't do is make a decision for some extensive orthodontic work. I've never even had a cavity so I'm not thrilled with the idea of potentially having my palate expanded. I put off the initial consult for 2 years, and I don't want to wait that long again, but it's tough for me.

I woke up early in the morning and went fishing. It was the first time I been in a long while, and I tangled up the line and accidentally sent my reel flying into the water. I was able to find it kind of easy because the line was still looped through the rod so I just had to trace it through the water and pluck it out of the mud. I reassembled the rod and went back to fishing and got bored after a while and fed my bait to the fiddler crabs that were hanging out with me. Pretty fun, overall.

Last night I went to see Animaniacs: In Concert with two friends! It was really fun. This and a spur-of-the-moment trip to see Frankenstein is the first time we've really hung out in a long time that wasn't for some party. We just got so busy with college and life, and then the pandemic happened and made us more isolated...

It was fun, and I'm hoping we'll hang out more in the future. These guys have been two of my best friends for years now, so it's awesome to spend time together to just hang out and do stuff.
