Learned that I had a fractured vertebrae, took care of my beautiful new screaming daughter, posted on Tildes and enjoyed the usual podcasts during my graveyard shift with the young miss.

Autumn is starting to set in so went for a surf before the water cools off too much. Didn't get far as the swell was too big for my skills! It was low tide so we went swimming in some rock pools....

I lost sleep due to an extensive Linux project I've been doing to see what my Next Big Thing is, and came out happy with a few different, but similar, setups on various devices that let each work to its best.

My brother got some 1-foot high paralettes I've been working pushups on, and apparently just seemed to lack the practice to do pushups. I'll do like 10 a day over the course of the day, but make them as clean as I can, and they're getting better! I actually just did my first 6-count burpee, which hurt like hell, but want to get to doing more since they're legitimately my favorite exercise (at least the ones I was doing with knee pushups were great).

I did have an incident with a 7-11 sandwich that landed me out of commission yesterday for a few hours, but that has since been resolved. I also learned that paying $0.50 for a bowl of Top Ramen (a bowl + veggies + sauce) is better than paying $2.79 for officially-licensed Sriracha ramen, which tastes like cardboard. Buldak Spicy tasted far better for half the price (but quite a bit more heat). I bought the bowls of Top Ramen brand for the sick day, and the spicy ones just because.

Installed video security on my house and in my effort to keep my video local and hard to hack, put in PoE wired cameras. Holy cow, what a ton of work! Took me about 16 hours to wire in 4 cameras and run the wires everywhere including under siding, through walls, down through duct work as my attic isn't a better option. Glad its done. Never again.

Looking forward to see what the rest of this year will bring as I feel better equipped to tackle my "plateau-grade"
