But I'm thinking of first finishing the Three body problem because the way of writing is so different between the two that it kinda breaks my flow.

And these markers are used by Scribzee which you can connect to Evernote and scan + digitize your pages.
I haven't tried the app myself yet but was thinking about doing so when I have a bit more time.

Edit: oh and more importantly, the paper is fountainpen friendly! (that's why I got the notebooks actually)

And I just started The Three-Body Problem Liu Cixin.
Which I was not expecting that much of but I'm having issue putting it away at night... which already resulted in 2 days of way to little sleep.
Hope the book stays this interesting!

I do some old school VOR flying in Flight Simulator. So often I write down the direction I need to go together with the frequencies. Also if the airport has an ILS I write this down.

Actually I'm thinking we're going further into a highly tech future.
But now we're slowly stopping in just having tech being it's own thing.

In my personal opinion a highly tech future is not only regarding speed and innovation on pure technology.
But also how this technology combines with our social constructs.
Just having Tech growth for the sake of tech is as far I'm concerned an outdated view.

I love that for an RTS is not very action perminute intesive (at least at this point in the single player campaign).
And I just love the setting!

To bad that the third installment is apparently not that good, but I'm hoping that by the time I'm done with 1 and 2 it will have been patched/modded/updated.

Regarding the article - my understanding is that data centers mostly run on solar and wind because that's the cheapest energy available.

Talking about winner and losers, in the end it's always the little people who lose.
Even in the regard of solar and wind energy.

For example, 3 years ago a region in the Netherlands was pushing hard for green energie to lower the cost for house holds in the vicinity of a certain region.
But all of the sudden META, Google and Microsoft started to look at this area (.e. lobby and gaslight the regional mayors/legislator) to place data centers because cheap energie.

I don't recall how this ended, but if the corpo's got their way it would have been again the normal households losing. (I think the government only allowed one Datacenter)

So I would say go with the lamy safari, it's not the best looking pen but it won't break the bank nor let you down.
Get some good paper as well by the way :)

Simple pen and paper. I might type it out afterwards. But nothing beats sitting there with a nice notepad and my fountain pens (3 different colour inks) and just writing my notes.

I'm playing games I want, reading books new/second hand/from the library and I'm doing a lot of sport climbing outdoor & indoor.

Sure when I do groceries I'm thinking, oh that's def more expensive.
But overall... my life just keeps on going.

Now I must say I'm not a huge party/drinking person anymore. maybe that has also to do with my view?

Death is for sure one of my favorite character in Discworld so I'm almost always happy to read their adventures

Plus I just like Discworld in general, the vibe and wording is just phenomenal.
Though there are a few duds here and there, but considering there are 40 books it's to be expected that they can't all be jewels.

Depends, I have an acquaintance that's in the same climbing group of 15-ish people.
Apparently he considers me a friend ... He is definitely not mine as I don't like the fellow.
I'm just accepting of him as drama/tension is not needed, specially not when we're on a longer trip.

So in that case, no he can't "force" a mutual friendship with myself.
But he is growing a friendship with some of the other members of the group. So in those cases, yes he can.

I'm really liking my Playdate console and I still use it few times a week.
Specially when I just have that 10/15 min downtime between a task and the other.

It's pretty cool to see what people can do with only black and white sprites on such a tiny screen.
And I'm of course tinkering with my own games/applications for the device.

The device might be a bit steeply priced. But the build quality, free games and novelty/fun of the crank is worth it.
