It's a Netflix stipulation. Supposedly Movie 3 was where they could start being titled "A Benoit Blanc Mystery," but I fear Glass Onion made the "Knives Out" brand too strong.

They’ll have to do worse than Glass Onion repeatedly before I’ll stop chasing this franchise.
Looks good, we're going with the theme of song title, and murder mystery that maybe never had a murder in it? Will this hit theaters like Glass Onion? How do we tag a Knives Out mystery?

I am SO excited for this movie. Knives Out is my favorite film of all time, and Glass Onion gave it a run for its money. Can't wait to see what they do next.
Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but didn't Glass Onion have two intentional murders in it? Or are you saying that the case isn't solely revolving around the murder?

Spoilers for the first two movies
This isn't unique to the franchise, lot of murder mysteries play with it, but Knives Out has a murder that's not a murder where it was in question if the victim was in on it or if the suspect was an unsuspecting pawn. Glass Onion had someone dress up as the victim to throw confusion on the murderer if there was a murder after all.
This movie might play with the idea where the victim isn't dead, which has been done before, but I'm interested to see this particular take.
Its about a guy who comes out of a coma after 25 years only he actually secretly woke up 10 years ago and killed a guy and has just been faking it ever since to establish an alibi except double...

Oh nice! I'm not clicking the link because of potential spoilers but I really enjoyed the first movie. The second was okay so I'm hoping the third will be fine/good as well :)

Loved the first one, hated the second, so I’m curious to see where this goes
I think I might be a Rian Johnson fan. But these movies are just so fun.

So dumb it's brilliant!
No, it's just dumb!

No spoilers in this one, it’s just a “title reveal” announcement. Doesn’t show anything of the actual movie.
