According to my (shitty) research, there are at least 4 and probably way more by now!

Yeah that's mostly my fault... I haven't done a new official invite thread on reddit in over a month now since I have been busy with other stuff in real life and updating the site's documentation....

Tildes’s growth has slowed down since back then

EDIT: I'd be happy to write one if the problem is just that you've got better things to be doing.

It’s easy enough to automate if you don’t care about who you invite, sure, but the user vetting process when you do care is not. While Tildes is in alpha we are being reasonably selective about who we invite since the site is small and still lacking many basic features (e.g. crowd sourced moderation), and so one bad user can have a pretty serious negative impact on the site, and more importantly, the perception of the site. We have even already seen this play out several times already too. Every banned user so far has posted to /r/tildes and tried to spin their ban as having been “for no reason” when it was anything but. Thankfully all of them have thoroughly backfired on those people due to users of the site pointing out the reasons for their ban but it still puts us in an awkward position where if we remove those posts it looks like we’re trying to hide something when we’re not but if we leave them up it doesn’t look particularly good either. So ultimately we would simply prefer to continue to minimize the amount of trolls and obvious assholes that get on the site right now as much as possible, which is why invites and vetting are still a manual process.

Do you roast them like a chicken? Crack the giant egg and fry it for breakfast? Do tell me, I bet they're delicious. Unless you mean kiwifruit.
