First day off work since August. The plan was to do nothing, finally. I got to stay in bed late, watch some films with the kids, visit some relatives, and then off to the gym.

Play some D&D, shoot some guns, exchange Christmas gifts, and hopefully relax a bit.

Working M, T, Th, F. I'll be sleeping in on Wednesday. Nothing else planned, as my partner is visiting her family this week for Christmas, and I just had mine this past weekend with my family.

    My Christmas week plan:

Monday: Working. This evening: Wrapping presents for extended family, and prepping the electronics gifts; one daughter got a laptop, one got an iPad, and we got my son a Fire tablet. I'll make sure they're all set up and charged and have apps on them that they'll want to use.

Tuesday: Work in the morning, mostly maintenance stuff. Take off around 1pm, have some breakfast-for-lunch as is my preferred lunchtime meal, then head home. Afternoon fun with my wife and kids, until we go to church for evening mass. After mass, we'll come home and break out everyone's new Christmas pyjamas, then the kids will head to bed and my wife and I will put on "White Christmas" while wrapping all the kids' gifts.

Wednesday: morning at home! We're typically up by 7 am. Kids will open stuff, we'll have our special Christmas breakfast, which mostly consists of nice cheese, crackers, and pate. Around 11am we pack things up and we'll head to my parent's house, where we'll spend time with my sister and her boyfriend, my brother and his wife and son, and my parents. Many games will played, drinks will be drunk, turkey will be consumed, and then more drinks will be drunk, and my wife and sister-in-law will also be drunk.

Thursday: No particular plans. I'm so excited for that.

Friday: Big family Christmas with my wife's extended family. There will be an astonishing amount of good food (a lot of Goan cuisine) and lots of music and just general hanging out. My wife's family is awesome, and I always look forward to this particular party. We'll stay at my in-laws afterwards.

Saturday: Christmas with in-laws. In the last afternoon, we'll head out for a big birthday celebration - me, my father-in-law, my brother-in-law's fiancee all have birthdays in December. Then home.

Sunday: No particular plans. I'm excited for this too! I think that my daughter and I are going to watch Crisis on Infinite Earths together (from the Arrowverse).

I'd had stomach problems for over a month now so i'm not cooking this year.... or cleaning... or eating much.... or drinking anything.... It's going to be a strange Christmas as i usually cook the big family dinner and do things to busy myself so i dont have to be overly sociable when the extended family comes over before the meal. I've got some imodium so i can eat a bit at christmas meal without too much side effects but its going to suck not being able to eat and being planted in the living room.

Boxing Day is my grandmas for a second christmas meal which is always a bit rough because she is not a great cook but at least her toilet is downstairs!
