Planning on baking a rye bread, repadding a few clarinets, and (hopefully) finishing a saxophone overhaul. I also get to meet a couple of my SO's friends for the first time, which is pretty exciting.

Packing some, hopefully making a cake with the SO. Partly I just want to pack up as much as humanly possible so we're ready to move on the 7th. I've never moved before so I think a lot of it is nerves and me just wanting ir to go as smoothly as humanly possible (not necessarily likely as there will be things that go wrong but I can try). It's been a weird week for me so I'm ready for the weekend.

I'm going to be studying, mostly, and reading I, Robot, which I was very surprised to get in the post for my Open Uni. course.

I'm going to be working on making my second ever knife. The first was a bit of a bust, as expected for a first go, but I've learned a lot and hopefully this one will turn out better. It's a left-handed wrecking knife, sort of. Slight variation to make it a little more of a general purpose pokey/levery tool, it's going to be a birthday present for my Dad. I've mostly finished the shaping of the blade blank, I need to choose some wood for the handle then do some polishing. A LOT of polishing. I'm used to working with things like silver, gold and copper - steel is so much tougher to bend to my will, not to mention horribly dirty as well.

I've got a RPi-powered kiln controller project to work on in the evenings, which is mostly hacking on the web interface at the moment. Eventually I'll have to stop running simulations and actually connect the thing to my kiln and see if it works. That involves going outside to my cold, damp workshop though, whereas pushing around web stuff can be done from my comfy warm sofa.

I have to fit these things around looking after playing with my toddler, who always comes first in my attentions. He's much more fun now than when he was a tiny baby. Yesterday we learned to high five so we'll be practicing that, and I might make up a big bowl of oobleck for him to smash about in.

Leasing a car. Was previously jumping from used car to used car, so I guess I am now one of the old responsible ones.
