What did you do this weekend?

As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their weekend. Did you make any plans? Take a trip? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!

I did some work on a house that we are getting ready to rent out, and a little work on the house we just moved into. Then I managed to blunder my way into fixing my PC which had been getting a BSOD every time I tried to boot it, and played some D&D online with some college buddies who have all moved out of state. I had also been wanting to do some mini painting, but that didn't end up happening.

I built a work station / standing desk for my office. I'll use it occasionally during the day, to be standing instead of sitting. It worked out fairly well; it's just plywood and 2x4 because that's what I had just laying around, so it's not particularly pretty, and the top probably needs to be reinforced if I'm going to leave things on top, but overall I'm fairly happy with it.

I bought groceries for my house (5 people) my sister's house (2 people) and my parent's house (2 people) and delivered them. When delivering to my parents (who are both about 70), I brought my whole family. My parents live out in the country, and we haven't seen them in three weeks, as my parents have been very on top of their social distancing / isolation. We dropped the groceries on the front walk, and then spent the next hour with my parents on their front porch, and me and my wife and kids playing in the front yard. We threw a frisbee, tossed a football, played on bikes, kicked a soccer ball, did cartwheels; we just spent an hour hanging out about 50 feet from my parents while they watched and we chatted.

I also found some time to work on Tildes Backlog Burner that @kfwyre suggested. My take on it is to play at least one game from each of the last 12 Humble Monthly Bundles; I tried out 2 different games, and wrote about them in that post. If that interests you, check it out!
