What did you do this weekend?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their weekend. Did you make any plans? Take a trip? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
Been busy coding away on this project of mine: to reduce 10 hour long Twitch videos into a series of highlights showing the best moments without human input. I had started over a year ago but only recently had the motivation to do programming outside of work. It's now working quite well, at least on the channels I usually watch. Even though it's a purely personal project I tried my best to make the code base readable and maintainable. I've also pushed myself to use those fancy Azure services instead of a simple VPS like I'm used to, might help for scaling and servicing. I'm hoping that with my friends feedback I can publish it in the following months.
got a new tilde server up: https://breadpunk.club
it's been interesting and sort of fun! but i also feel kind of burntout by the computer
Played a bunch of Animal Crossing, as this weekend was back to back events. Took a long walk with Wife and Dog. Broke Binding of Isaac open with an infinite item loop and didn't stop until the game crashed.
I finally went around to fixing my broken package manager so I could update my laptop. I could have done it sooner but I hadn't really needed it until this epidemic and it wasn't even a problem (well, besides a security problem) until I wasn't able to install a piece of work software.
I started to work on a cover of Coil's Batwings in vcv rack, I think I got the sound pretty much right and I even found someone to do the vocals. I still need to automate all the parameters (not sure if I want to use my midi controller or just do it in my daw).
