Our foster dog got adopted this weekend, so we said goodbye to him ... I think his new home is going to be a really good fit.

Before that, we took the dogs on what turned out to be a five-mile walk around the city, which was strenuous but fun. Later, we went over to my mother in law's house to dog sit for her and worked on crocheting stuff -- my wife is doing pieces for our friends' impending baby, and I'm making my first blanket.

Put in Final Cut for my short script for the Webtoons contest. My artist is 100% convinced he can pull it off in two days while recovering from surgery. I wish him the best.

My father is pretty serious on day trading and bringing me to follow/(presumably) learn from him. I'm still not convinced of the whole thing's worth/value however. Finance is by far the area I understand (and in these areas, trust) the least.

Also a chemical factory burst into flames not too far from where I live so that's a neat sight, a lot of smoke (which flew right over my head, unlike this reference), 8 pictures and some phone/SD card space.

I was supposed to visit my family so I took a three-day weekend, then someone at work was diagnosed with the ‘rona so I had to cancel everything and get tested today. Not ideal, but better than accidentally killing my mid-60s parents because of oversight.

Other than that, an extra day off is nice to catch up on cleaning and organizing that I’ve been putting off for weeks.

I’ve been in an online physics course this summer since physics at my university is notoriously hard and mechanical physics isn’t particularly relevant to my degree, but because I’ve been working an internship I haven’t had much time to get ahead. I basically spent all weekend finishing up the last few homeworks and labs then taking a test and the final, but now I’m done!
