What did you do this week?

As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!

I've mentioned before that my girlfriend and I are working on starting a board game store/quasi maker space over in Detroit.

Our laser has been out of commission for the last week, but we finally resolved the issue and everything is working again. Thankfully it was software rather than hardware, though there remain some mysteries about what was causing it in the first place. Now we at least know how to recognize and avoid this particular issue in the future.

Anyway, it's all resolved and now we can get back to setting stuff on fire... I mean making products

    Edit:
Oh, I forgot to mention that the building we absolutely loved and were saving for a down payment on is now off the market. So we're going to have to find a new spot.

Practiced having a healthy sleep schedule and waking up on an alarm clock for the last few days. I wrote that expecting to only need to do it half a year from now, which honestly threw me off a lot for some reason. "I have to do this now?" Also picked up a few "notebooks" (the school kind) which I didn't use last year.

I also decided to change my haircut.

I decided to start a blog... then I finished the design and am uncertain if I'll actually post anything. All it was going to be is a bunch of spreadsheet stuff, nothing exciting.

I used jekyll w/ gh pages, which works really well. I also modded a theme instead of going from scratch, which saved a bit of time (citation needed.)

I wanted a flat CMS and had used Pico and some others in the past, but I figured I'd go with GH in case my potential blog blows up one day, I won't get hugged to death. I doubt it would ever happen, but I really don't want my bouncer to crap out because I am temporarily famous :)
