What did you do this week?

As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!

We had a big meeting & party at work, I was a bit worried but it went pretty smoothly overall, I haven't lost all my social skills. My pre-covid crush was there too, which was a bit scary (not seen her since 1.5 year). I was a bit cold and I feel bad about it (I'm behaving like an ass), but frankly I can't have a casual relation with her.

...I'll probably look into Adys's suggestion concerning programming, and for some animes to watch.

I also got a cold for some reason, even though last week was far colder than this one. Oh well.

Oh wait, I wrote the wrong thing. I meant I finished last month's material, and I get to do nothing because July is winter (southern hemisphere) vacation. (Which ends day 11 next month.) They first posted the material day 7, which was the day I finished that month's stuff, so everything was done on time.

Intern stuff: Sitting in on meetings, studying more for this "easy" Azure cert (AZ-900), client meeting shadowing, and actually got to do some guided work in my company's Azure instance for an internal project. I may also be taking the lead on my intern group's capstone project, which means I need to learn a lot about hybrid and thin client technology, being the only one in my group who seems to know anything about this.

I finally ordered a keyboard, I've wanted, the ZSA Ergodox EZ Glow. I've been digging my Keebio Nyquist (split, grid 5x12 keyboard) and want to take the next step out into an Ergodox, and it's a surprisingly affordable option, at $354 ($270 for the board, plus $20 for backlight, $30 for wrist rests, $30 for tenting). It would've cost the same, maybe a little more for an Ergodox from FalbaTech if I had him build it, then ship it to me from Poland to the US, with no backlighting (I want to have functional backlights). I'm concerned about how it's going to fit around my work laptop (I do stuff for my internship via private accounts like Udemy and Youtube videos for research, so I put my Nyquist sides around my laptop), but it'll be an interesting change. I also tried to sneak a set of their Planck EZ caps into the order for a Planck RGB clone I have.

The rest has been reading for school (The Startup of You, and How to Win Friends and Influence People), which take interesting approacheds to developing ways of behaving for various reasons, and playing video games until it's time to go to bed, wake up, and show up to the next day at the internship.
