Image hosts of choice?
Beyond IMGUR, what image hosts are the hotness these days for when we want to share our dogs / pizzas / pc builds here on Tildes?

i like to use https://envs.sh, its also useable from a terminal using curl
Are you an envs.net user or has envs.sh broken containment? I've been using it for ages since I have an account there but I didn't realize I wasn't the only one, haha. 0x0 clones like this seem to be the correct answer nowadays.
I saw someone send an envs.sh link on matrix actually a while back and that led me to discover it along with their matrix instance which i now switched to, blazing fast compared to the official matrix.org, and looks to be privacy respecting.
I build my own (janky) solution with a simple webinterface and api endpoint to easily upload images to my own domain.
I use some.pics. It's not free (it's part of omg.lol's web apps).
yupp me too, its nice to have that and the paste app all quickly available and at least the url is a little fun lol.
I’ve started just using discord for my image share… half the images I upload I want to share to discord anyways and the other half I upload to a private channel for this purpose.
I know it’s terrible. I’m sure there’s privacy issues, there’s no way discord is going to be able to supply unlimited storage indefinitely (although I’ve never seen them kill an image link in 7 years, oddly), it’s not really fair to them because this isn’t their business model…. But it works and I don’t need to keep track of yet another website or app and account.
I very rarely need to upload anything public-facing, but I have an old account on catgirlsare.sexy just in case. The registrations are closed now (they claim you can buy in with a PayPal donation). It offers curl and ShareX configurations and I've had files sit on it undisturbed for 5+ years. It seems to be maintained — the website design has been updated sometime in the past few months since I last visited it.
Would I recommend it to new users? Only if you have spare cash burning a hole in your wallet, complete lack of care for privacy policies and a strong temptation to share links from an eyebrow-raising domain. But it is pretty funny.
I ended up rolling my own on my Dreamhost PS using this script which allows uploading with cURL. I have the actual upload page simple auth'd to keep others out. Sorry.
As a fellow dreamhoster I’m digging this solution
