      I don't want to seem like too much of a blockchain shill, but it seems to me that using p2p storage has the nice benefit of forcing you to secure your data. Of course there are also a lot of problems there. But it's nice to have provable security.

          To add on to that, if something does go wrong, the blockchain itself guarantees that you can't ever fix something or get rid of exposed things that shouldn't have been exposed.

          That's a huge opportunity cost, excluding environmental and other issues.
