    I posted about Scroll over a year ago, and was interested in the concept (but lost a lot of that interest when I realized it didn't actually replace paying for the individual sites' paywalls). Integrating it into an overall Twitter subscription definitely has some potential, since a lot of people use Twitter as their gateway for finding content. I still don't think it's very clear what a Twitter subscription will do overall, but getting a better reading experience on (some) linked sites seems like an appealing feature, at least.

      I, too, have been dreaming for long of some sort of subscription agregator : one subscription allowing access to a wide selection of newpapers, each of them being in turn remunerated on a pay-per-view basis of some kind.

      I'm still dreaming of some business model that would allow the internet to actually inform the citizens instead of cajoling us into the poisonous illusion of free press, as in free lunch but ever less as in free speech.

      Coming to think of it, that's what Reddit could have become, integrated as it is in the Advance Publication media group. Or could not have : I imagine The reluctance o the stakeholders to collect revenues on behalf of their competitors.

    I have a Scroll subscription. It's nice not to see ads on the Atlantic, but that's about all it amounts to for me and I was thinking of cancelling it.

      I haven't seen anything specific. The company only had 13 employees, and it sounds like they'll all be working for Twitter now. They had $10M in funding, and the last $7M of that was about two and...

      I haven't seen anything specific. The company only had 13 employees, and it sounds like they'll all be working for Twitter now. They had $10M in funding, and the last $7M of that was about two and a half years ago. So I don't imagine it was a very large deal overall.
