Hey Tildes, I failed to account for certain time-consuming parts of the TestFlight submission process, and so the first iOS alpha of Three Cheers will be delayed at least a few days. I'm disappointed I won't meet the promised October deadline due to this oversight. Sorry to anyone who's been eagerly waiting on the edge of their seat (@cfabbro). I've been working hard on the app though, and excited to release my first ever iOS app soon.
It's in approximately the same state as the Android alpha version, which is to say, it's functional and pretty stable bugs-wise (fingers crossed), but missing a lot of features you'd expect from a Tildes app.
For example, you currently can't: apply comment labels; see reply notifications; submit new topics; change sort options.
The plan is to get this released and then go back and add new features to both the Android and iOS apps.
If you're an iPhone user and looking for more features right away, check out Backtick and Surfboard, two great apps by talented developers.
For Three Cheers, I've made a point of supporting iOS versions back to version 12.4, which includes iPhone 5s and iPad Air 1st generation. So if you're using an older iPhone/iPad that doesn't run the other apps, you might want to give Three Cheers a shot when it's ready.

Love the app on Android, and eagerly awaiting it to be feature complete! Specifically, I really can't wait to be able to view my post history and see my reply notifications so I can switch 99% of my Tildes usage over to the app!
Thanks for the feedback. I agree these are a sore spot for the app and very noticeable whenever I open the app on my phone. They're high priority for me to add when I have some time.

The android app is a bit barebones (understandably, especially as I've just learned you've been working on an iOS flavor), but I deeply appreciate it.
Back when I first downloaded and then bought reddit is fun golden platinum, I was a budding software engineer that wrote an android app to get through some job interviews. Of course, my career went in a different direction and I now live deep in the kubernetes weeds doing nothing of value to anyone.
But here you are, still making my day to day life a little bit nicer with your development.

Great stuff and looking forward to the items on the roadmap being implemented. I've been using the app consistently and it's been 99.9% bug free. Literally the only thing that sometimes happens is that the logo when booting the app shows Firefox instead of TC. It could be my phone doing that but I can't tell.
While I'm at it, I'd be happy to testrun this on an iPhone as well but have no access to TestFlight. Anyone have an invite they could share?
That would be really great; thank you. There is no TestFlight link yet, as I am navigating the process of submitting an initial build—including some registration issues, resulting in the aforementioned delay. I'll try to remember to @ you when it's ready, in the subsequent post.
No rush of course. I thought I needed an invite code to access TestFlight in general, hence my question. I see now I was mistaken in that.

Loving the Android app so far! It's simple, but it really doesn't need to be too complex.
I'd love to know if adding font sizing options is something you'd consider in the future. I'd love to make the text much bigger to make things more readable.
