The site shouldn't be doing anything non-standard related to fonts that I know of, so I'm not sure why that extension isn't able to override it. It would be useful if you can find any information about how exactly that extension works, but from Tildes' end it just has CSS that sets the font for the html and body elements (basically ones that mean "the entire page"), which should be pretty typical.

You might also want to see if there are any other extensions available, they might work slightly differently and be able to do it successfully.

      Agreed that's pretty standard. Strange.

I don't know if this app needs a particular implementation, but I did find on Firefox that I had to uncheck the "allow sites to use their own font" box to customize it. Safari doesn't appear to have a similar setting. Hopefully a simple account preference toggle for site font would be enough rather than a specific list of site fonts or a custom implementation for this particular app.

Below is a quick single line userscript that forces the tildes font to OpenDyslexic3 when enabled, for when other solutions fail (back to normal when disabled); requires the font to be installed (this can be worked around if there's an online source for the font).

However, unfortunately, it would appear TamperMonkey and other Firefox extensions that can be used on Desktop and Android are not available on iOS. I don't have an iOS device so I don't know how/if you can use userscripts at all. Let me know!

Openly Dyslexic Tildes Click "Install" if a userscript manager is present.

There are Safari extensions "apps". That's what I linked in my original post. However, this extension fails to render with OD3. Android is more customizable whereas iOS is more curated and closed....

Android is more customizable whereas iOS is more curated and closed. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This might let you use the above script? Do you have the font installed in your device?

I may be mildly dyslexic. At a minimum, I have at least some mild reading impairment. I recently obtained this mobile Safari extension for overriding Safari fonts. It works on Wikipedia however not on Tildes. I suspect, though am not certain, that somehow Tildes may be inadvertently limiting this somehow. If so, can this be changed?

Can Tildes get a new feature to allow users to specify a custom font from a given set of possible fonts? Would be greatly appreciated!

Tbf, that extension blows. I recommend Cascadea, which works a lot more consistently in my experience.
