Personally, I wouldn't be confident to give you an invite right now: Your post's description is very, very vague. I fail to see how "your friend's social network" necessitates an invite for them....

Personally, I wouldn't be confident to give you an invite right now:

    • Your post's description is very, very vague. I fail to see how "your friend's social network" necessitates an invite for them. I mean, why not post about it yourself?
    • Your account is very new, with almost no post/comment history other than that thread concerning your own website.

I believe it is more respectful to ask for an invite and let him personally decide how to engage with the community, rather than me acting as an intermediary or posting his content on his behalf, which could easily be perceived as spam. If I simply posted his link myself, I would be bypassing the community's vetting process for new members.

That said, I understand your concern about my account history, but everyone started from zero. Or not?

True, but keep in mind the Tildes self-promotion policy:

If you have your own site/project/channel/etc. that you'd like to share on Tildes, that's generally fine (in moderation), but it shouldn't be the primary reason that you post on the site. Tildes is a community, not a free advertising platform. Sharing your own content is welcome as long as you're involved in the community, but don't just treat Tildes as a source of an audience

        https://docs.tildes.net/policies/code-of-conduct

If you want to invite your friend, you can generate an invite here. But if the only reason they want to join is to promote their own website, they probably shouldn't.

FYI, new accounts do not have invitation credits. The last time Deimos handed out a few must have been around a year ago

Ah, I see, I assumed everyone had 10 by default and Deimos was just doing refills.

          Yes, I know.

I actually find this community very interesting. Personally, I am not here only for my website; I took the chance to get a different point of view, but I also found other interesting topics.

Yes I gave a look into my profile, and I confirm what @TaylorSwiftsPickles said: I cannot generate invites.

Well - once you start demonstrating that in your post history (consistently), I'll be happy to share an invite with you ;)

Nah, I am not here to prove anything to anyone. I will just be myself and continue doing what I have always done. Thanks anyway.

Hiya, invites specific to your account will come soon, don't worry. Welcome, just hang out and have fun and it'll happen. In the meantime, we have casual threads, news threads, serious discussion and life threads. If your friend's social network gets talked about on another site you can post one thread about it as well and we'd want to hear your thoughts on the network and what the article says about it.

One reason the site was designed this way in an invite lineage tree was that if I gave out invites to say, 100 spammers, then Deimos wouldn't have to ban 100 accounts, he'd just have to ban mine and all the accounts I gave out invites to. Which is also why I am reluctant to share, hope you understand.

Oh I like it. If I was the owner here I would do the same. One ban, dozens disappear. Smart.
