Yeah I am a mod of a small subreddit and I have a copy and pasted msg I send to users who received a ban or have their post removed so that probably skews my results also.

FYI if you're not aware already, the /r/toolbox extension allows you to save custom removal reasons for the whole mod team to use. Then you can choose to either leave them as comments, send as PMs, or both. One of many great features that reddit administrators couldn't bother implementing natively. Even if you're the only mod, it's nice to have all the canned responses saved somewhere. I ran the big music subreddits (/r/music and /r/listentothis) until a couple weeks ago, but we had a removal reason that matched up with each rule.
Related to this: I posted this on Reddit too, but let’s just ignore those that aren’t worthy. Honestly no good can come from publicly negging someone, which could lead to an argument, and overall...

Honestly no good can come from publicly negging someone, which could lead to an argument, and overall negative attention.
Imagine if that happened to a TD user and they decide to brigade us?
There’s no reason imo to not just ignore the unworthy (ah yes the elusive triple negative!).
once tildes goes public "vetting" is not going to be possible and even now we should not base people's usage of other sites to try and garner insights on how they might use tildes.

I don't think Tildes should ever feel like a home for anyone who's comfortable identifying as a nazi. However, I thought that the vetting discussion had run its course and did not see the point of this post. So instead of yelling at op for making content I didn't particularly enjoy, I tried making a thought out comment that I did like and pointed out that we should accept anyone willing to be civil.
I was trying to point out that vetting takes a lot more nuance than account generalizations to be effective. At the end of the day I don't ever want nazis on tildes, but I don't think past...
I was trying to point out that vetting takes a lot more nuance than account generalizations to be effective. At the end of the day I don't ever want nazis on tildes, but I don't think past participation in r/the_donald should immediately result in a perma-ban. If new users can play by the rules of tildes and not be an arse to others (at least while they're on tildes) then I think we should listen to them.
I disagree for regulars of that sub, if only for the fact that if you hold conservative, pro-Trump views, you still should have long ago realized that that subreddit is just a circle-jerk of...
I disagree for regulars of that sub, if only for the fact that if you hold conservative, pro-Trump views, you still should have long ago realized that that subreddit is just a circle-jerk of falsehoods, fallacies and dog-whistles, full of racism, antisemitism and sexism. There has to be a place where discourse is a bit more civilized and fact-based they could have turned for their discussion. At the same time, I'm inclusionary to a fault, and they probably deserve a chance to contribute here.
I feel icky for doing so, but to play devil's advocate, maybe they're vehemently opposed to these things, and they created this account specifically to go on those subreddits to call people out...

I'm pretty sure that's not the case, and a human glance at their actual posting history would probably confirm that, but on the other hand I have doubts about bulk data analysis as a be-all end-all for profiling people.
You can't post dissenting material in r/The_Donald, that results in an immediate ban. Any other subreddits, potentially. But with that being their top subreddit, that's just not the case. I'm...

I'm super down for diverse viewpoints. I very much do not agree with some of the users here, but they keep it civil and because of that I think they're an overall asset to the Tildes community. This person does not strike me as such.
I understand that, but as i think Deimos said earlier this year, it's crucial that the early alpha test users are actually producing quality discussions and content so that Tildes doesn't meet the...

Can you explain why not? Are you saying if someone's a hateful person on reddit they might not be hateful on tildes? Or are you saying it shouldn't matter if they're a hateful person?

Didn't we JUST talk about this in my thread about vetting yesterday that's still on the "front page". Reposts already? Let's cross that bridge later I guess.

LOL, I saw that guy arguing with you in your codes thread. I loved his "You make for a very poor representative for the website, who put you in a position of power?" whine when you called him out...

Ha, saw that too. Is it a good idea to start arguments though? What if TD decides to brigade us? I think it’s best to just ignore, as entertaining as that was.

I hear you, but starting an argument is just a bad idea. I don’t see how ignoring could create conflict unless it’s an extenuating circumstance. Whereas an argument IS conflict. There’s a reason...

There’s a reason Deimos just removed that argument from the post, it’s just not a good look for us.

What site is this?

Thanks!
I wonder if its methodology could be incorporated into the reputation system somehow?

This is a neat site, I don't know how I managed 86% kindness when most of my reddit activity is political shitposting though.
you probably didn't have a flurry of neo-nazi comments like some other users have
My own text complexity is lower then a Nazi... Damn...
Edit:just realized it's because I spaced the same copy pasted msg during circleoftrust.
Yea, my reading is completely skewed by all the boilerplate mod comments I've made. 4 of the most used words are reddit, rule, wiki, and post.

It's a tiny subreddit that just gets a lot of activity sometimes so I haven't looked into mod tools that much.

Probably true, but I think the conflict is inevitable. No matter how restrained most people are someone's buttons will be pushed at some point.
