~23 means "About 23" it would kinda be confusing for new users

but wouldn't that work even better if vote fuzzing is ever implemented?

also the ~ is in reference to how you specify the home directory on unix, to me ~23 looks like ‘home/23’

Groups are already named ~group, what if there was a group named ~420 about marijuana? I think the name 'votes' is just fine for now. It's clear, concise, and gets the job done.

you're right, it would be confusing. I only thought about it because of how much the vote buttons blend in with everything else, at least on solarized dark theme.

When I see that kind of thing, it feels like it's a step over the line between "consistent and clever theming" and "shoving the brand in everywhere to the point of tackiness."

I just really like that we can't down vote. A real problem with Reddit is the fact that people down vote simply because they see a negative number. All you have to do is get someone to negative one, and you can start an avalanche. It doesn't matter if the person's comment said, Ending world hunger would be great.

Can we have a dedicated thread or area for suggestions like this? So many pop up, this could easily be a comment on a larger thread.
