Strange bug clicking comments url on posts

Tags: bug

Issue is occurring on iPhone 7 using Firefox mobile browser v15.1 but has occurred on previous versions of Firefox.

When I try to click the link to view comments, the post grows in size seemingly indefinitely (eventually either the link works and redirects or I get frustrated and scroll to the next post). This has happened a few times. As far as I can tell it is seemingly random.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Still trying to get use to the proper place to put things. If you need any more details let me know.

There's already an issue for it. Seems to be an ios specific problem.

Thank you for the information! I figured there was a board and issue tracker somewhere.

~tildes is exactly the right place to post bug reports and information about problems you're having with Tildes.

I knew this was probably the safest tag, didn’t know if I should post here or try and find the gitlab or github board. I’m on mobile so I took the lazy option :/ glad it isn’t though! Thanks!

I'm not at my computer right now, but will try to investigate this later today. Seems like a couple of iOS-specific issues suddenly, which is strange.

Strange I haven't seen that in Safari considering all browsers on iOS use the same rendering engine, WebKit. Must be a FF-specific issue? I'm on 12.2.

No issues here in 12.1.4 either.

A few things came up in the Gitlab issue beyond OS that would be good to get your experience with:

        1. Do you notice a difference when logged in vs logged out?
        2. Different browsers (logged in and logged out)?
        3. What theme are you using?
        4. Do you have the comment-read tracking setting enabled?
