Has anyone else noticed a lot of collapsed comments lately?

You can label someone's post and get them collapsed and I swear some people go out of their way to do that

Do you mean the noise tag? If you visit a thread again after new comments i think it collapses all the comments except for the newest ones... do you maybe mean that? E: that’s actually a setting,...

E: that’s actually a setting, 'Collapse old comments when I return to a topic’

It generally requires at least 2 users to label the same comment as Noise for it to be collapsed, so one person can't just do it to whatever they want, even if they try. Less than 1% of comments in the last week have been collapsed because of Noise labels.

Just to add to that @annadane, you can disable that behaviour in the settings.

So would two noise labels be equivalent to two downvotes on Reddit? This seems like really low threshold to collapse a comment.
