    I am surprised to see that the UK also has an employee rights problem. I expected them to have more "European" values when it comes to employment, but this perspective is probably due to my ignorance, as I do not read that many British news articles.

      They definitely have more employment rights than the US in many respects, but only really because the US has set the bar so low.
