Can you blame them? Disney went through with the biggest entertainment merger in a while in part because they could get almost all of their split up film rights back. I think I would want to...

No, I can't blame them, since they are a corporation with a mandate to maximize ROI and that's likely what they are trying to do here. However I can still be mad at them for doing it, especially...

However I can still be mad at them for doing it, especially in such a seemingly underhanded and counterproductive way. I already spend enough money on streaming services as it is between Netflix+Hulu+VRV+Amazon, so even with the Marvel shows being amongst my favorites, if it turns out Disney actually did do this to migrate the shows to their own service, I won't be subscribing and will just pirate them out of spite instead... as will most other people as well, I imagine. So what will they have really gained besides pissing people off?
Agreed on all counts. Everyone trying to create their own streaming service, in an already saturated market, is going to end poorly. I really can't see adding Disney to my lineup for yet another...

I really can't see adding Disney to my lineup for yet another $10/month.
I don't blame them and I hope it all works out for Disney, but I'm not the kind of person to hop from one service to another if the current service is good. For what it's worth, Netflix has a lot...
I don't blame them and I hope it all works out for Disney, but I'm not the kind of person to hop from one service to another if the current service is good. For what it's worth, Netflix has a lot of decent shows and I thought the Marvel+Netflix series were good but didn't hold a candle to some of Netflix's own TV shows, like Bojack Horseman and the Haunting of Hill House.
I do hope that Netflix works something out and ends up showing Disney shows on their platform, a bit like how Netflix shows BBC shows.
I'm less confident than most that these shows will be renewed under Disney's services. I think Disney/Marvel are just tightening ship. Phase 3 is nearly over, and we're likely to see big changes...

Thats exactly what it is.

I remember the days when the US had an actual entertainment industry. Now we just have Disney.
I mean if all you care about is children's and comic book action movies then sure. ESPN hardly has a monopoly on sports.
