Ideally. I didn't really mean it would come to a riot, I was just listing it as a possibility, an extreme possibility but still possible.

You're right. Maybe the masses will riot against unfair water distribution and we'll get it government sponsored, idk lol. It will definitely be a struggle, but hopefully we figure something out.

Not to brush off a serious situation, but I believe we'll be fine as a species. With lower drinkable water supply, the price of water will increase. When there's more money involved, more ambitious entrepreneurs will come into the industry, pulling in more innovative geniuses with them. With this, we'll be able to find new ways to produce drinkable water.

Even if we don't find new ways to produce drinkable water, I'm sure there are current systems that aren't efficient enough to use currently because it's not worth it unless the price of water significantly - like converting sea water to fresh water. Think about how the cost of shale oil is more expensive to extract than conventional oil. Once the price of oil reached a certain level, money started swarming into the extraction of shale oil in the US/Canada, among other places.

Shit, I once watched a documentary about how we could literally build a bridge between Russia and Alaska. We have the knowledge and resources to do so. There's just no incentive for it - there's no money in it. When money's involved, we can do great things.

Tbh it's tough for cops, or any figures of authority, when it comes to profiling. Statistically, a white girl is less likely to be up to something criminal, right? But morally, is it right to assume that? You have to find the right balance of approaching different people. I don't blame the cop for not hassling you. But if you were a black man, or just any kind of man in general, I wouldn't blame the cop for approaching you with a little more caution, but still with respect and no weapons drawn lol.

Also, profiling isn't just limited to skin color or gender. Would you blame a cop for profiling a group of young kids that look like a rowdy, trouble making bunch? Or profiling a white dude that appears to be homeless/strung out on drugs while letting the clean-shaven black dude in a suit go? Sure there are double standards when it comes to white privilege, but you get my point.

If anything it'll at least give you a feel for the gameplay for the Battle Royale version of Battlerite before it releases, which will also be free on release.

UBI will definitely be expensive, but we have the funds without having to create any additional money, which would avoid causing more inflation.

In the US, we could do away with welfare assistance (as this is another form of welfare), there's half a trillion right there. We could reroute some money from SS/Medicare which aggregates to well over a trillion dollars. We also have many other government projects we could siphon money out of that are ineffiently using funds.

Additionally, we could increase taxes to fund the rest. There is some decent amount of wiggle room here as taxes were significantly cut this year, especially for rich individuals and corporations - corporate tax dropped from 35% to 21%, that's huge.

On top of all of that, UBI doesn't have to be as high as you're indicating. It doesn't have to total enough to be a liveable wage, it could start out as low as $5k-$10k per person to serves more as an income supplement.

And I just had an idea. Maybe people could have the option to forgo their UBI (to some people, $10k is nothing) so it could be recycled into the system, although I'm not sure how successful that would be tbh.

I like the game a lot, it's just that the population has been small since I guess the game has a high learning curve and bad marketing, idk. It's free if you want to try it.

Playtest was the first Black Mirror episode I watched. A friend of mine wanted me to get into the show and just knew this episode was the one to do it.

I fucking loved it. The show was so trippy, it literally gave me flash backs of little mind adventures I've had of my own (don't do drugs, kids). The concept of the episode is nothing unique, but it still did the whole mind fuck thing right with its twists and turns in every corner. This is how you really scare such a desensitized generation today: by messing with their perception of time and showing them just how fragile our minds really are.

I own some XPR, XLM, VET, and REQ. What attracted me was the money. What made me stay was the tech, but ultimately the money. I knew about crypto for years already but I never looked into it until late 2017, I started doing a lot of research. I wanted to know about why the coin is useful, who the team is behind it, what their strategy is, etc. Blockchain is definitely going to be a big part of the future, primarily because of IOT and how everything is striving to become autonomous.
