lol well of course theres a difference in sales numbers. one of them have been released for eight years already, and is a flagship console from a 40year long console making king. the other is an online marketplace that copied them because theyve been disappointing consumers.

i mean that the pendulum is swinging, not that the demo crew is done with their job.

the first switch wasnt competing against a steamdeck thats cheaper and already has your entire library tho. the only target audience that i can see here is grandparents in ten months and people who are already deeply walled into nintendo. that feels like stagnation at best.

check out NightRunners on steam! its only got a demo release right now, but 1.0 is coming this year, and a lot of indie devs are trying their damndest to... take influence from it. its the only game ive preordered in a decade and makes me feel like im playing nfsu2 on the floor again.

also stock>hydra handbrake upgrade changes the keybind button from toggle to hold. its FULL of tiny details like that.

sorry for the lack of details and no links, i took a short break from work and just had to mouth off my favorite arcade racer of the decade. ill be happy to talk about it further later and/or edit some links in when im at the keyboard.

lol i dont! if a service wants my phone number so bad its a requirement, i just dont use it. unless its related to friends, family, business or utility ive stopped handing it out.

im also worried about who its sold to, since phone numbers are pretty personal to me, and i get enough spam already. ive had my current number for about four years now, and never once have i answered or called back an unknown number and yet still mine is floating around on call list and being rung even through the spam filter.

i hope that answers, if not, i guess id give it out for things like signing up my home for internet service, my auto mechanic etc. but not for a game, online service or app.

i just dont equate sharing my personal information to being secure. gotta be another way.

in the age of simswaps and data driven profit, i dont understand why i cant use three different emails across three different hosts instead of one email and one phone number. i dont want anyone at all to have my phone number, for ANY reason, let alone when a more anonymous medium can fulfill the same purpose while not being paywalled (phone bill/mo). not to mention its an absolute HEADACHE to fix everything if your number ever changes. ive just given up and let accounts go before because my phone number changed and it locked me out of my own account. im never making that mistake again, for any website or app.

it just feels detrimental to me, like my accounts are being held hostage by my phone company.

ive been spending some time in red dead online lately. i pretty much stopped playing a few times <lv40 because of other players, but found out you can run a text file to create private lobbies in under a minute, and ive been enjoying playing my cowboy mmo all alone ever since. theres also some big buffs going on for the month related to the trader role, which ive been stuck on for awhile. so thats helping to hold my attention. also the dailys have been super ez to streak, theyve mostly also been relating to the trader role this month so far.

ill also mention Mad Max since im going for a 100% replay and they built the damn thing like a ubisoft title. so many checkboxes.

i can definitely* see a ruined exhaust system being half the cost of a lower end vehicle, especially if its including the cat. for example, i could easily replace my exhaust system for 2k$+, but the resale value still wont be any higher than 4k at best.

im just a stupid young adult, but fwiw, i myself would just total it out to insurance for a new one. i actually like my own shitbox enough that if that happened to me id probably just replace it with the same model/year.

e: just reading your other comments where you said insurance likely wouldnt take this route, thats a shame :(

how deep in the degeneracy do you have to be to see those public links, and then /follow them/, and not think that its a honey pot at the same time? i know its near useless to try and assign logic to a decision made emotionally, but the risk vs reward for that kind of thing seems astronomical to me, especially when the links come from bot accounts on the clear net.

if youre on ios, afaik the only way to one-step background play and adblock is via brave browser. id seen another user in this thread say that adguard pro with safari will block video player ads, but they hadnt mentioned if they were able to do background play. both are equally important to me when it comes to mobile, so i feel compelled to chime in, just in case.

dysmantle is such an amazing casual game. its a top down third person game where you destroy EVERYTHING for materials to upgrade and invent new things. you dont worry about ANY inventory management, durability or survival mechanics. all the game wants you to do is break shit and explore. theres cooking, but only because the recipes you find are PERMA stat boosts that are added the first time you cook said dish. the crafting is minimal and simple, feels more like an upgrade button to me than actual crafting bs. i originally found the game because of FitGirl and put over 150hrs in on my piracy playthrough. last week i bought all of the content to replay it with my girlfriend in coop and to be a dirty completionist. it was ported to mobile sometime after release iirc. one of my all time favorite games. super simple gameplay loop but i cant put it down. great for getting stoned and zoning out with a youtube video up. ill admit that i was unsure if id like it at first, and its such a unique game that i would really recommend giving it a try-before-buy if youre able. sorry if this is mostly rambling, i just woke up but not enough of my friends know about this 10/10 game so i just had to spread the word any way i could.

if you liked dave the diver you may have a good time with this one as well, not because theyre similar gameplay wise, but more so the vibe and goofiness and just wanting to give the player a good time.
