Reading doesn't really "conjure up images" or anything, though. The closest thing I know to imagining in that visual way is how I can kind of plot out my house in my mind, but pretty much just from directions. I can be like "this room is over here, over here is this one" stuff like that, but no visuals.

Something I've discovered in the past is that to "visualize" something, to see it "with your mind's eye," is not very much a euphemism, and more that most are able to do something almost like actually seeing something you remember or imagine, such as "seeing" this mind palace. However, not everyone can visualize things like this. Some people, like myself, don't really see anything at all when using their "mind's eye" to try to imagine or recall something. All I see is the darkness you get when your eyelid is blocking all the light.
The fourth paragraph here briefly says something about what I mean.
Not all people have the same internal perceptual ability. For many, when the eyes are closed, the perception of darkness prevails. However, some people are able to perceive colorful, dynamic imagery.

But what makes it really unique is that each pixel is simulated. Let's say that you're in an ice cavern, and use a fire spell. It simulates how each pixel of fire interacts with each pixel of ice, determining which pieces of ice will melt into water, based on the fire pixels. Then the water pixels simulate their movement around the cavern. There are a lot of other examples you can see in their trailers when you look it up.

For example, I wanted to see if there's any posts about ham radio. However, I can't exactly call it up in a search, and as Tildes is not publicly visible, I can't just search "ham radio site:tiles" on google. It would be quite a handy feature to have.

You'll find your runs suddenly lasting much longer and getting more chaotic soon after.

You drive around town and pick up people and drop them off wherever they need to go, while dodging and destroying the ever-increasing horde of cop cars. You don't do the aiming manually, although there is a PC version (paid) as well, and you do aim manually in that one.

- I'm not sure I could justify the full $30 for it to myself quite yet, and
- I'm not entirely sure I would enjoy it as much as I hope I would.
I've been listening to some C418 (Dief, Excursions), Boards of Canada (Old Tunes Vol. 2), and Copious by Neo-Fusion (or is it Neo-Fusion by Copious? I honestly can't tell). I'll link that last one here, since it's not well known.
