Lmao. Accurate. I replaced the HEPA filter with some fancy ones from Amazon and it came with a clip remover tool!

Yep. See my second edit on the OP. You can pop the frunk with a 9V battery or a jump via the tow hook.

As another poster pointed out, it's not hard to get to and you can replace it yourself. You can absolutely take preventative maintenance to mitigate this problem, just like any other car. You literally pop the frunk, remove the plastic cover and remove two bolts. My Audi was a bigger pain in the ass to replace the battery than the Tesla.

Seriously, here's the instructions. All it requires is popping off the plastic and undoing the negative and positive terminals with a 11mm socket.

I only mentioned the Tesla mobile technician because if the car is under warranty, they'll come and replace it for free. If it's not under warranty, it's ~$150 which includes a $100 battery. It's no different than calling AAA...which if you're stranded and don't have access to a second car, a lot of people do.

I own a Model 3. There are flaws to it. This isn't one of them.

The entire article is dumb. It hinges on one owner being upset that his 12v battery died and he's "speculating" it's because of the heat. That's it.

I had it happen to me too. About every 3-4 years the lead acid battery will die. Just like in every other normal vehicle.

The issue with a Tesla is when the 12v dies, you can't use any of the passive electronics, including the door locks (you can open the doors, but it's a PITA to do). The 12v also doesn't charge via the normal outlet either, so the complaint by the person in the article about moving it to charge it is...well, bullshit. Even if you could open the car to plug it in, it won't do anything...the same thing as if you had a dead battery in your car and you can't turn the car over to start it.

This has nothing to do with the car being hot from the Texas heat. It's just because the battery died. You don't see articles from people saying, "MY TOYOTA WOULDN'T TURN ON BECAUSE OF THE TEXAS HEAT!" because 12v car batteries die all the time. It's a common occurrence and usually requires a trip to AutoZone to get a new one.

All this person needs to do is just call Tesla service. They'll send a mobile mechanic to swap out the battery. When this happened to me, they sent someone out within an hour, took literally five minutes to replace the battery and I was on my way. This didn't need an article.

Edit: Literally, read the article and the dude just says, "this is annoying as hell." Yeah, when your car battery dies and you can't turn it over, it's annoying as hell. That's annoying to every human being who owns a car. Tesla isn't immune to it.

Edit 2: You can replace the 12v yourself and it's not hard to access. Even if the 12v battery is dead, you can pop the frunk to access the battery with a 9v battery. This only works if the 12V is dead. Here it is on the official website as well if you have one of those jump start batteries.

Again, this entire article is just dumb. The person could have easily opened the frunk via the methods above, swapped out the battery...or even jump started the vehicle.

Yeah, the first game seemed tacked together from the remnants of SW: 1313. They managed to cobble together a good game with a decent story and got inspired to make the next one with a clear direction. Jedi: Survivor is a solid game and is definitely up there as one of my favorites this year.

But man, the platforming in the first one was...rough in some places.

I'm gonna sound so dumb typing this. Jedi Fallen Order: Dathomir Mud Slide.

The first time I played it, I legitimately rage threw the controller. I have no idea why this one area infuriated so much that I just couldn't get past it. I probably tried for an hour and a half to not only slide down properly, but to also jump at the appropriate moment.

It got to the point where my wife walked over 2 times and said, "YOU STILL HAVEN'T BEATEN THE SLIDE?!" To be honest, I'm still embarrassed by it, but quick Google search shows that I wasn't the only one.

The fact that I couldn't time a fucking jump properly or control a basic slide mechanic made me question myself and question whether or not I wanted to continue playing this game, despite it's positives.

Bobby also needs to live in a suburb outside of Houston where everything looks the same and he's constantly stuck in traffic.

Yeah, there's a great conversation about how sub category tildes could work to float ideas up to the top. You can have ~local.usa.tx.houston and have articles from ~.Houston float all the way up to ~.local if it gains enough traction. I think that level of category is kinda cool. You could easily hide certain sub localities (e.g. only subscribe to ~local.usa.ny, and ignore all other hierarchies).

I personally think ~news would be based around topics rather than localization. That would provide some level of subcategorization that would allow for people to see news on topics they care about. This gets a little bit fuzzier, but to be honest super impactful things may be duplicated on the main feed, which I think is ok. There was some talk about how cross categories would work (like ~food.sandwiches.tomatoes and ~hobbies.gardening), where one may be posted as primary and another as secondary. Not sure how coding would work in that case.

    FFXVI as well.

I've played almost every FF series game since the original on NES. The only FF games I skipped are the MMO and FFXV (which I played about 50% of before giving up on).

FFFXVI's story is absolutely incredible. The main storyline is up there in terms of intrigue and world building. The subtext of slavery is brutal and some of the side quests in Oriflamme really make you want to burn it all down. The eikon fights are absolute incredible spectacles of art and are so hype, you literally have your jaw dropping once you finish them.

The rest of the game? Press X to skip dialogue. It's very linear. That's fine, but the linearity is broken up with fetch quests to make it seem "open world" when in reality it's another, "Oh, Martha has a problem. Please go to the tavern and investigate which random group of mobs you need to kill."

It's so jarring too. You have one of the largest hype boss fights. Your adrenaline is pumping and youre dying to know what happens next...annnnd you end the cut scene to go talk to Otto who tells you to talk to Blackthorne who tells you to go to Northreach who tells you to fight a mob.

That being said it's a solid 8/10 and I still look forward to playing the game every day.

Yep. This is the one for me. KH3 was such a let down. I think I got past the starting world and stopped. The issue with KH is that the story went batshit off the rails to the point that it's near impossible to follow.

Nomura believes he's this Game of Thrones level world builder. He's not. He just throws shit at the wall, writes himself into a corner then deus ex machinas his way out of it with some sort of batshit explanation that impacts the entire world in a foundational way (seriously, there's an entire game dedicated to being in a dream world that some how has consequences in the real world because new villains are created). It's almost like he watched inception and was like, "You know what kingdom hearts needs? An inception storyline!"

Not only that, but the reason KH3 was such a shit show was because in order to follow the plot, you'd need to play ALL of the KH games, including the random mobile games.

The game play was ok, but the fact that the story had references to games that came out on PSP almost a decade ago should have been a warning sign that the story was going to be a problem. There's not enough die hard fans who consumed every visual novel related to the game.

GoW did it right. Soft reboot. Lore still exists and is explained, but is not material to the plot. They should have done that, but it's Square Enix and they love doing that shit.

The hyperlocal discussions is what I've missed. I moderate a couple of the local subreddits and we definitely need a structure for local news/community discussions the three ~locals would probably suffice right now, but state and city specific would be great once we get some structure put in place to handle the volume.

The sports ones are definitely needed as well.

I think this post is a fantastic write up. Your suggestions are mostly on point as to how the hierarchy structures should work.

A good application of this is something that would be regional for cities, states, etc. One of the positives that reddit has/had is that regional city/location based subs could empower communities.

Imagining a tag that's something along the line of: ~usa.south.texas.houston for example might allow for bumping up to each to then allow for those to (a) sub to specific cities but also allow for posts to float up.

Adding the elements where they could be multiposted based on the context, such as ~weather.hurricanes if there's a hurricane that may hit Houston.

Your suggestions allow for users to basically see both, while allowing for floats up.
