Efflixi LinkIt's not really the case anymore (though it's still there) but the biggest draw for my city for a long time was a historical train. It's not really the case anymore (though it's still there) but the biggest draw for my city for a long time was a historical train.

Comment on What weird food combo did you not realise was weird? in ~food
Efflixi LinkI haven't done it in many years but as a snack I used to eat saltine crackers topped with mayo. Cheaper and less hassle than butter and same effect. The last game in a similar vein was Freelancer way back in 2003. I have spent years looking for other games to scratch that itch. After watching the Starfield Direct stuff I'm too hyped to ignore it.
Right now I'm currently playing the following:
Freelancer HD - A mod for the original Freelancer that adds high resolution textures to everything, widescreen support, and quite a few QoL improvements while still being 100% compatible with OG Freelancer
Endless Sky - Free open source 2D space sim where you can basically do anything you want
Starsector - 2D space sim where you can basically do anything you want -

It looks like I'm one of the older ones here, I see a lot of teens and middle schoolers (at the time) posting.
I was in my 20's living in California at the time. My mom woke me up after the first plane hit and said "the world is ending". I don't remember my exact words anymore but they were along the lines of "if you're waking me up it can't be ending that badly". By the time i got in front of the TV i got to watch the second plane hit live on TV. Everything was happening on the east coast so I still went into work that day, but I 100% remember basically no customers came in at all. It was just me and my manager. He closed the store at around 3 and told me to go home and be safe.
