I am starting a new career this week. I just got my real estate license, and I’m also getting my bachelor’s/masters in computer science. I saw the starting salaries for IT, because I dreamed of being a sys admin, but the money I’d make the first 3-5 years is slightly less than I make making sandwiches at a gas station convenience store. I’ve been disillusioned with the comp sci field and decided to go for something more volatile than stable. I guess what’s weighing on me is finding the confidence that I’ll be able to make a great living and that im not squandering my education. I do plan to revisit comp sci in some regard later but right now Im 30 and I can’t make less than $50k this year if I want to live comfortably without a struggle.

I’m losing interest in diablo4 but I feel obligated to beat it once since I spent so much on it.

I agree about Diablo. I really enjoyed leveling up but now I’m level 51 half way through the story and I’m stuck in world tier 2 until I complete the main quest. I’m in this weird spot gear-wise where I dip between feeling very strong and feeling lackluster. I enjoy the solo play, and I was having fun with groups, but most of my friends aren’t interested anymore and without the zones scaling past 50 it feels less and less fun and challenging, even if my character doesn’t feel powerful.

I’m honesty waiting for baldur’s gate 3 at this point because I loved divinity 2 so much and I like the pace

The only move I watched from this year was Evil Dead Rise and as I said in another comment, I’d give it a 5/10. They relied way too heavily music effects (not a sound a character makes but a sound that’s played when they make a slight movement). How many times do I need to see the possessed character reanimate to know that they will indeed reanimate? The whole movie just felt like it was trying to reach a wide audience rather than make a good horror movie, and my general thought was it’s got “my first horror movie” vibes.
If you want good evil dead, then watch Evil Dead 2013, a good horror movie.

Not new but I just started American Horror Story. I’m on season 5, hotel, now, and I have to say so far this show is so refreshing compared to other horror stuff out there. It doesn’t feel like a safe bloody thriller. The writers do not pull punches in pretty much any topic, which actually leads me to feel horrified. It’s much more than just horror though because they include drama, comedy, tragedy, really all of that and sometimes in a single episode. I just think a lot of horror writers could learn a thing or two.

Terrifiedr and terrifier 2 are absolutely fantastic! I watched the 2nd one again the next day, in part because the clown cafe song was stuck in my head. I’m not typically a slasher fan but I thought they just did a great job with the kills, the humor as you said, and the actor for art did was exactly what you want from a character who doesn’t make a sound and is the true embodiment of chaotic evil.

Personally I thought Evil Dead Rise was pretty generic as far as horror movies go. I’d maybe recommend it to someone who isn’t into horror, but not a horror fan. I thought they relied too much on the same scares the whole movie. Also, it honestly felt way too clean to be an evil dead movie. The characters felt so dumb to be believable too. All in all I thought it was like 5/10 movie, but I agree the title drop was 10/10 cool
