Elantris is slow, but it pays off to read it for sure. You can feel safe jumping into stormlight now. I would read era 2 before getting to the end of the current stormlight books. But if you don't...

What did you think of emperors soul? Was one of my favorites.

I loved this book. Though, it is the first time I really felt like I needed to read all of the prior material in the Cosmere series. I have read everything else, so it wasn't a big deal. But if someone is just reading straight through Mistborn without reading Warbreaker, Elantris, and Stormlight, I feel like a lot of this book would be lost on the reader.

I knew this day would come eventually, I want to learn more about the greater story and I'm super pumped about the newer stories. Just an observation.

Currently reading the Super Powereds series (on the third year). The first couple books in the series kept me hooked, but definitely felt slapped together a bit. The third book in the series is really fleshed out and has been a great read. The book follows a class of kids with super powers trying to become super heros.

The whole series has the whole coming of age feeling, so if you don't like that type of story this may not be for you. However, I have really enjoyed it so far, despite it being a genre I don't normally enjoy. Highly recommended, if you think you can make it through a less refined series.

I never saw those ads, most likely because I've used a third party app for over a decade. What's the background of those ads? Who is the he that gets us?

I honestly feel like this decision will be the one that kills reddit if it goes into place. If I know one thing about redditors, they generally hate their mods and complain about them in the comments all the time.

Giving the users power to remove these mods will make it musical mod chairs and eventually those who actually want to effectively moderate will leave. All reddit will be left with is moderators that don't do anything/rely entirely on automod. Which will make the comments even more of a cesspool than they are already.

7 year vegan checking in. I became vegan around the time my wife and I started a farm animal sanctuary. I was unable to have conative dissonance when we decided to start taking farm animals in. Now we have over 20 pigs, 6 cows, horses, and chickens all living their best life.

It wasn't the easiest process for me, giving up dairy was the hardest. However, I feel much better health wise, no longer miss animal products, and love helping provide a home for the animals where they can safely live out their lives.

My Google search results have been garbage for a long time. If you don't append "reddit" to your search all you get are websites advertising products. It's especially bad when trying to identify good products, for example a search like "best headset in 2023" will give absolutely nothing but junk. This whole reddit shutdown is really revealing how shitty the current internet landscape is.
